and emergencies; emergency housing transfers; emergency lock repair; restitution
assistance, i.e., help victims apply for compensation for any costs incurred due
to crime (i.e., lost work time, physical and mental treatment); document replacement.
Eligibility criteria: victim.
Payments accepted: FREE.
Languages (other than English): Spanish.

Preventive intervention where there has been domestic violence and children are at
risk. Includes counseling and access to practical services.
Eligibility criteria: Child Welfare Administration referred; but can also take some
self-referrals or referrals from the community.
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday, 9:00
a.m. - 7:00 p.m.Payments accepted: FREE.
- Emergency Family Day Care

Day care (children 2 months to 12 years) in provider homes.
Eligibility criteria: women who are leaving or have left abusive situations.
Free for women on public assistance; sliding scale for working women.
- Short-Term and Crisis Counseling

Individual counseling for victims of rape, robbery, domestic violence and for families
of homicide victims.
Eligibility criteria: victim.

- Safe Homes - Kingsbridge Project Oasis

A safe homes network for battered women and their children. Clients receive counseling,
parenting workshops, support groups, and advocacy for other services. Payments accepted:
FREE.
